Recalled equipment: what Rhode Island requires
Rhode Island does not require a recall check
We read Rhode Island’s licensing rules in full. They contain no requirement for licensed providers to monitor or document product recalls. We are telling you this even though it means you have less reason to pay us, because a page that invents a rule to sell a subscription is worth nothing to you and would deserve nothing from you.
What the rules do say
We read all three Parts in full. “Recall” appears zero times in each, and there is no CPSC-hazard-list prohibition. Rhode Island does incorporate the federal crib standards and require on-site proof that every crib meets them, and it names specific prohibited equipment — but none of that is recall monitoring. Note the home rules say equipment “should” be free of hazards where the centre rule says “must”.
Recalled children’s gear is still dangerous, and a recalled crib in your care is still a liability whether or not a form asks about it. The free screening below works regardless.
